IAM Created with a Design

EPHESIANS 4:24 NLT Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.

God created you with a purpose and a design. God had blueprints for your mind, heart, personality, gifts and passions. The wonderful creator chose himself as the design. Our original purpose and destiny always started with God’s image.

Gods-Blueprint

Let’s make a list of all the amazing things the bible speaks about our God:
I found a list of scriptures and descriptions. The bible gives us 101 characters of God.
Some of my favorites from the list: Love, The Beginning and the End, Infinite, All powerful, Mighty to Save.

The ability and raw building blocks to transform into someone like God lives inside of you. God placed it inside of you from the beginning. You inherited God’s spiritual DNA! The list of 101 attributes of God seems overwhelming at first. I want to encourage you to start with a simple prayer and desire: “God, make me more like you.”

We don’t have to focus on all the things we haven’t experienced life transformation yet. Focus on where you want to go, and our God who get’s us there. Don’t allow the negative thoughts, doubts and lies to take over your thoughts. Do not allow thoughts of condemnation or guilt to take hold in your life. The distance between our current state and our glorified state seems daunting. Jesus bridges that gap for us.

The wonderful journey of taking on a new nature awaits you. Jesus lives inside of you. He makes a home in your heart. The Holy Spirit performs spiritual surgery inside of you. Today, ask God to make you better than you are in one small way. The new life you have inside of you allows you to love, care, minister and listen more. You may even surprise yourself with your new found nature.

Title: Wonderful Maker – Chris Tomlin Cover (Daniel Choo)
Owner: Daniel Choo

You spread out the skies over empty space
Said “let there be light”
Into a dark and formless world Your light
Was born

You spread out Your arms over empty hearts
Said “let there be light”
Into a dark and hopeless world Your Son
Was born

Pre-Chorus:
You made the world and saw that it was good
You sent Your only son for You are good

Chorus:
What a wonderful Maker
What a wonderful Saviour
How majestic Your whispers
And how humble Your love
With a strength like no other
And the heart of a Father
How majestic Your whispers
What a wonderful God

No eye has fully seen, how beautiful the cross
And we have only heard
The faintest whispers of how great You are

IAM Saved by Grace

Colossians 1:6 This same Good News that came to you is going out all over the world. It is bearing fruit everywhere by changing lives, just as it changed your lives from the day you first heard and understood the truth about God’s wonderful grace.

Webster’s Ninth Collegiate Dictionary puts as its first definition of grace, “unmerited divine assistance given man for his regeneration or sanctification.”

grace blog

We must understand the facts of God’s Grace. No action of our own makes us worthy of God’s Grace. I want to encourage you to stop trying to bridge the gap with your efforts. Shield your mind and heart with the thoughts of trying to earn God’s grace. God gives grace because of his Love for us. Jesus paid it all when he died on the cross for us.

None of us deserved it. Yet God poured it out for us. That’s the good news that saved us. God saved you by his grace from your collision course with destruction. Every man and woman who does not have a relationship with Christ takes the same path, until they choose to fall on God’s grace for their life.

Do you remember the day your heart and mind finally understood God’s grace? That was the day when our Divine God started the regeneration process inside of you. Allow God’s amazing grace to change and transform you.

“Raised To Life” by Elevation Worship

Precious compassion that pours
From the wounds that have won our salvation
Sin was strong but the Savior is stronger
Come let us worship Him

Great was the debt that we owed
And how high was the price of our healing
Paid in full by the One who is worthy
Come let us worship Him

Raised to life with Christ the Savior
In His name a new creation
Now our song will rise
Adoring Christ the Lord

Death overcome by the Word
That was spoken before it was finished
Jesus Saves is our song everlasting
Come let us worship Him

Raised to life with Christ the Savior
In His name a new creation
Now our song will rise
Adoring Christ the Lord

Sin was strong
But Jesus is stronger
Our shame was great
But Jesus You’re greater

Jesus You’re greater

Raised to life with Christ the Savior
In His name a new creation
Now our song will rise
Adoring Christ the Lord

Sin was strong
But Jesus is stronger
Our shame was great
But Jesus You’re greater

IAM a Messenger of Reconciliation

2 CORINTHIANS 5:19-21 NLT For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.

Jesus sets us free. He clears our sins. Once you accept this truth into your life, your life changes. No one counts your sins against you. God sent his son Jesus as a sacrifice for our sins. Jesus sacrifice made us right with God. That’s a wonderful message!

God immediately gives us a mission: to share this amazing message with as many people as possible. We have one goal and calling. Don’t waste any time with condemnation, judgment, style points or heavy theology. I wonder why so many so called Christian organizations spend time with the minor things. Why do they spend little time on the most important message of Love? Then I realize because the more they waste time, the more the enemy wins. Friends, don’t allow your life to get off track. As ambassadors of God, we have a single purpose: a ministry of reconciliation.

God makes his appeal to the world through us. You have a voice and a message! Jesus is asking us to tell the world “Come back to God!”

Jesus asking us to come back to God, starts with one initial premise. You started off in God. God started your life. God created you. A relationship with God is your rightful place.

Father-and-child

God makes his appeal to the world through your amazing testimony. When you chose to return to God, a miracle happened in your life. When you accepted God and asked Him to come into your life, an amazing transformation took place. Someone must share the greatest love story with the world. Only you can tell your story. No one tells it better than you. Your unique life, gifts, vocation, skills, voice and beautiful personality deliver God’s message of love to the world.

img_home_m(1)

God already called us to his service. We all have the same calling: Share God’s love and mercy with others until they come back to him. God asks us to take on his relentless character as we carry out his calling. That’s the 99%. The last 1% is your unique spiritual gifts, perspective, passion and burden for the lost. Take some time and write these down: Who? What? And Where? God answers the “HOW”: With his message of Love and reconciliation. God already answered the “WHEN” question: as soon as possible!

With that sheet of paper that has your Who, What and Where, also write these proclamations about your identity!

IAM Rooted in Love

Ephesians 3:16-19 NLT I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

Let the roots of your heart and life grow deep into God’s love. Transformation starts at the instant we choose to believe. The real growth happens on a daily basis. Ask God to reveal more of his love to you. Ask God to give you love for the difficult people in your life. Ask Jesus to make a home inside of your heart. A visitor stops over for maybe an hour or so, then leave. I need more than a visit from Jesus. I need Jesus to setup permanent residence in my heart and mind!

Can you trust in God’s perfect love? God’s love solves every problem, argument, pain, bondage and addiction. Every other love can’t compare to God’s love. When Jesus lives inside of you, there won’t be room for everything else unworthy.

God’s love makes us stable and strong. Make your home in God’s love. God’s love does not end. It takes serious mental power to even understand its size, depth and length! It’s my prayer for you that you experience God’s love. Experiencing love brings us to a depth of understanding. Reading or hearing about it does not compare to first hand experiencing the wonderful amazing love of our God.

Your new life started as an infant little sapling planted in good soil.

Your power and depth of roots allow you to withstand any storm or trial that life can throw at you. Imagine your life complete, then know that even in that moment your roots are still growing deeper into God’s love. Imagine your life in the place where you aren’t concerned with God’s love. Imagine all your energy spent on learning more love and experiencing more of it? God wants that life for you. It’s my prayer for you as well!

How High, How Wide, How Deep!  Celebrate it!

Matt Redman “The Cross Has Said It All”
The cross has said it all,
The cross has said it all.
I can’t deny what You have shown,
The cross speaks of a God of love;
There displayed for all to see,
Jesus Christ, our only hope,
A message of the Father’s heart:
“Come, my children, come on home.”–
As…

High as the heav’ns are above the earth,
So high is the measure of Your great love;
As far as the east is from the west,
So far have You taken our sins from us

The cross has said it all,
The cross has said it all.
I never recognized Your touch
Until I met You at the cross.
We are fallen, dust to dust;
How could You do this for us?
Son of God she’d precious blood;
Who can comprehend this love?

How high, how wide, how deep
How high, how wide, how deep,
How high!

IAM Right with God

ROMANS 3:27-28 NLT Can we boast, then, that we have done anything to be accepted by God? No, because our acquittal is not based on obeying the law. It is based on faith. So we are made right with God through faith and not by obeying the law.

Acquitted

God clears all the charges against us! God pardons us from the death sentence that awaited all man. We can’t earn it. We must fall at God’s feet and believe in his Son. No amount of work, effort, willpower and careful practice can save you. Your relationship with God doesn’t need you to get right everyday. I don’t have to wake up everyday and double check “God, you still love me right?”

do_you_still_love_me__by_bene_the_rock-d541eis

Start off the day, with the proper perspective about our righteousness. Have faith in God for your life and justification. Proper perspective sets you free from the lies of the world.
Submitting to God in faith sets you free. Your faith makes you right with God. That’s it. One time!

The disease of religiousness wants you to try and justify yourself in all your actions. Let’s stop using our energy to earn and justify ourselves, and start living by faith. Throw religion out the window, and live in love with God. We have access to a relationship with the creator. Clear your mind of any insecurity about the status of the relationship! Enjoy the love relationship for what it is.

It might not feel natural in the beginning. Ask yourself: “Am I acting out of love for God?” or “Am I acting out of obligation to what I think I should do?” Always choose the first choice. There’s power in love! There’s bondage and death in obligation. You’re no longer a prisoner! It’s time to live as a free man!

IAM Right with God
IAM saved by God through faith in Him!
IAM in a 100% secure love relationship with the Creator

IAM A New Chapter

2 Corinthians 3:2-3 The only letter of recommendation we need is you yourselves. Your lives are a letter written in our hearts; everyone can read it and recognize our good work among you. 3Clearly, you are a letter from Christ showing the result of our ministry among you. This “letter” is written not with pen and ink, but with the Spirit of the living God. It is carved not on tablets of stone, but on human hearts.
heart-belongs-to-jesus

very person has a story. Everyone is a book unfinished. God is writing chapters in our lives everyday. At some point we all have the same moment when God writes his name on our hearts. A spiritual change happened when that page was written into the story of our lives, and our lives could never be the same afterwards. God writes a a love letter onto our hearts over and over again. The new chapters are taking place in your heart and spirit.

When people read books and letters, they serve their purpose. We are a testimony to others of what the Spirit of God can do in the lives of people. God has a purpose to show the rest of the world what happens with his special amazing people. Your unique story of transformation and redemption is a love story to be shared with others. The amazing circumstances of your transformation from death to life are a testimony to the world. God’s amazes the world with his love.

The purification and finishing process that you are going through right now is a letter that others will read about. Your story gives hope and inspiration. There are people dead in their lives that are hoping that God is real. There are people in spiritual, emotional, physical bondage that want to know if true love in God exists. You give hope to others that life can be an amazing love story. We live, dance, sing and love with passion as a response to the amazing love that we receive. And then that passion starts to pour into other people’s lives in all that you do.

2 Corinthians 3:16-18 But whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17 For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18 So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.

worship-600x330

God starts a new chapter of life when someone chooses to enter in a relationship with God. The veil of doubts, lies and insecurities are taken away. Their love story begins in their hearts as well. They invite the spirit of God into their hearts to set them free from the ways of sin and death. Then they along with you reflect the Glory of God. As we reflect and shine the light of God into the world, we are more than just mirrors; we are being transformed to be more and more like God.

Friend: You are not some cheap circular that gets thrown in with the junk mail. You are not a minor footnote. You are an amazing best selling hit! Your story of love and freedom is a testimony that shines God’s glorious character so that others can have the same hope and life.

IAM An Earthen Vessel

2 Corinthians 4:7 NLT We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.

Friends, I don’t want anyone to put themselves down, and think that they are worthless. All of our worth comes from the light and great treasure that we have the wonderful privilege of having inside of us. Other translations of the verse say, we are earthen vessels. The stuff inside of us, is many times more valuable than the container itself.  True humility isn’t walking around saying, I am nothing, I am worthless.  True humility is living in God’s truth of who you are.  Living in proper understanding of how God see’s you and your is the place where we want to be.

Earthen vessels are clay jars that are fragile. God chooses us to fill with his light. That light is the greatest power in the world. The light of Christ is the only power and force that can save the heart of a man. The love of God that pours into us, is the only true love that can break through even the hardest of hearts.

Every jar is meant to hold something, then be poured out when the time comes. We aren’t meant to store up and never be shared with the world.

God has formed you with his hands. God has a special purpose for your life. Your unique personality, passion and skills were formed into you for a God’s plan. Then he has placed you in the kiln to cure you. I want to encourage some of you, that if you feel like God has turned up the heat in your life, ask God to give you patience to endure the process. The fire, heat and pressure of life is what is completing you. When you are tempted to ask, “Why me?”, try and ask God “For what purpose are you pressure treating me?”

It’s now your time to respond to God and say, use me, pour me out wherever you see fit. The treasure that God has placed inside of you, isn’t just for your benefit, it’s to be shared with the world. And just as the women broke the alabaster jar and anointed Jesus, we will be broken and poured out to do beautiful ministry for God’s Glory.

IAM at Rest

EXO 31:17 NLT It is a permanent sign of my covenant with the people of Israel. For in six days the lord made heaven and earth, but on the seventh day he stopped working and was refreshed.’”
You Bro! Yo Sis!
God worked 6 days and then rested on the 7th day.
If God did it… maybe we should consider it too.

What does observing a proper Sabbath mean to me?
How do I carry that out?

Focus on Restoration, Relaxation and Renewal
Stop working for wages or competing for rewards
Playing an relaxing,  reading spiritual material just because I want to.
Going for a walk
Spending time with girls and my wife.

No agenda, no errands.
Worshiping God, meditating.

Celebrating Freedom.
Loving God

As we are out there killin’ it all week.
Conquering all week, we can get self centered.
Well… the Sabbath brings us back to the true source and proper understanding that God is the power

Take time to rest before we get tired, before we get burnt out.

In the army, do you know when they stop marching?
Before they get tired!

In order for me the best version of Me.
I must also learn to be at peace, and allow time for one day of rest.
I AM on my Sabbath.
I AM at rest
I AM recharging my spiritual batteries
I AM spending time with my family, leave me alone!
Action Steps: Write down the important things that must be done.
6 days of work. 1 day of worship
If you are in Sunday Ministry, then Monday can be your day off.  Friday can be your holy day of rest.
Keep it Holy.
Keep it sacred

IAM Passionate

IAM Passionate

Passion is a great word, but I think people have an idea of what it is, but rarely experienced true passion in their lives. Maybe little blips in excitement, or just a phase of their life when they were younger.  Maybe some people believe passion is for kids, but when you grow up, life is about being practical

People have large and extravagant weddings. They seem like the perfect couple , only to get divorced a short time later. And their reasons? “I fell out of love?”

How many times is passion squashed out because of a road block or obstacle?
What was described as a minor setback in the beginning is the excuse or reason for why something was never finished? I been there too.

Let’s take a look at the example of passion that Jesus lived out for us:

Hebrews 12:2 We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.

5821368_orig
“Passion is the degree of difficulty we’re willing to go to achieve the goal.”

Jesus had passion for us.
Knowing how hard the middle part was going to be, but he still chose the cross, because of the joy awaiting him.

I don’t see too much about touch feely emotions when we think about this definition of passion.
I see a decision, a choice, a determination.

I think about those WWJD bracelets: What would Jesus do?
He is our champion, the one who has started our faith
And also the one who perfects our faith.

Passion should lead to emotion, but emotion alone isn’t enough to help you make it through.
But Faith to know the outcome is going to be perfect according to God’s beautiful will.
That Faith is what bring emotion to choose the right thing.

So if the pattern of you life has been jumping from thing to thing, and a history of unfinished projects, make a choice today. Even if your heart has been hurt by a past life of unfulfilled dreams.
Make a choice to be a finisher
Ask Jesus to help you find true passion.
Ask God to fill you with visions and dreams
